Dr. Richard Stewart

Dr. Stewart is an experienced glaucoma, cataract, and LASIK surgeon at our Boulder and Longmont locations. He graduated from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado before returning to Tulane for a Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Fellowship. There, he served on the teaching staff at Charity Hospital/LSU Medical Center teaching surgical technique to residents. He moved to Colorado in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and has been in private practice in Boulder County since 2006. Dr. Stewart is a Board-Certified diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in surgical glaucoma, complex cataract surgery, and refractive surgical techniques that provide optimal visual outcomes. He is on the admitting staff at several Denver, Longmont, and Boulder County hospitals where he provides trauma service coverage.

Dr. Stewart lives in Boulder with his wife, three daughters, and an energetic golden retriever. He volunteers in international medical missions projects as his schedule permits.
